We delivered a big oval shutter.
The new underground bicycle parking facility in Zwolle has three large entrances and exits at Stationsplein. The bicycles are stored underground on one floor in double-layer bicycle racks. From this bicycle parking, travelers can take an escalator to the train station or to the city. The size of the underground bicycle shed can be compared to the surface area of a football field. The capacity of this bicycle parking is over 5500 bicycles, incl.. Service station.
Stackdoor has installed the security grills at the three entrances and exits. This including a special oval Stackdoor. Although we have already been able to place several oval Stackdoors, this was a challenge because of the special requirements of the architect to avoid cables and axles. We therefore have installed two exact synchronously operating motors. Each side a motor.
The whole weight (more than 800 KG) of the armour is hold up and balanced in the stainless side guides.
As the weight increases when lifting the armour and the strictly requirement of the architect to have the armour and the ceiling as well at the floor exact levelled, our technicians have invented and implemented a special rail construction to realize this.
The result is a special and well performing Stackdoor Oval.
