Major modernisations and refurbishment of shopping areas in airports often leads to changes of retailers or a store update for a successful brand.
Major improvement works being carried out at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to boost capacity and upgrade technology, prompted luxury goods retailer, Dior, to renovate one of their multiple stores within the Terminals.
With the airport being open 24/7, Dior needed to protect and secure their store after working hours, while making sure that their promotional displays and merchandise were still highly visible to passers-by.
Aesthetics and design are also important to luxury brands and the elegant Stackdoor met the brief exactly.
The unusually shaped floorplan of the Dior store meant that two openings serve as entrances and exits, giving access from two separate walkways of the airport.
Therefore two Stackdoor Standard products were required, but in order to work to timescales of the overall airport refurbishment, a shortened delivery time was also required for the products.
By working closely with the store contractors, Stackdoor were able to assess the situation and liaise with the factory in Reading, UK, to set a fast-track programme of works to reduce the manufacturing time.
They also manged delivery to Paris and organised customs clearance to ensure that the Stackdoor grilles were supplied to meet the store opening deadlines. The whole operation ran smoothly and the Stackdoors were installed by a local contractor.

This was perfect for this site situation and two Standard Stackdoors were supplied in a galvanised steel finish. As with all Stackdoor products, they also incorporated the unique self-locking mechanism to enhance security without having to use additional locks.
