Our client was aware that a standard security grille or shutter system can seldom resist the impact of a ram-raid where a vehicle is repeatedly driven into a store front. Simply put – they are not designed to do so.
The Stackdoor system is unique as it has been tested in those exact real-life situations.
After extensive research into attacks on luxury retail stores around the world, a complex analysis of impact force and attack methodology led to an innovative product development programme by Stackdoor to create this unique anti-ram system.
Working in conjunction with the retailers’ head of security and French installation contractor, the project team at Stackdoor designed a system that would offer maximum security performance but still maintain the attractive facades of the refurbished stores in this chic shopping area of Paris.
Having worked with luxury retail clients around the world, the Stackdoor product development and sales teams knew the importance of attention to detail.
The bars and beams of the Stackdoor Anti-Ram were carefully colour matched to the colour of the architecture and interior environment, and the side guides blended into the design of the door frame, to have as little visual impact as possible.
And because it is a Stackdoor product, it still stacks away into a minimal space above the entrance when open, preserving the clean, visible shop front that a luxury brand demands.
This luxury retailer was aware of the impact that a ram-raid attack could have – not just to the storefront and loss of goods, but to their brand reputation and the opportunity cost of a store being closed.
The result is two Stackdoor Anti-Ram systems installed in two buildings over the two separate entrances to the stores.
Each had very different, but very distinctive architecture – one contemporary and one more traditional, but the Anti-Ram grille system blends with both, giving a sleek, clean appearance.
Our client was delighted with the result – discreet security protection, along with peace of mind and protection of their brand.
