The Base, Schiphol Airport
The Base is a prominent business hub located at the heart of Schiphol Central Business District.
Comprising four interconnected towers and a striking glass atrium, the complex accommodates over 70 organisations – from global corporations to small-scale entrepreneurs.
Designed to offer more than just office space, The Base includes a range of on-site amenities such as a gym, restaurants, an espresso bar, childcare, and flexible workspaces, making it a lively and multifunctional destination.
As a high-traffic location with multiple retail and hospitality spaces, The Base required secure closures for several of its key amenities.
The challenge was to implement a robust security solution that would not only provide effective burglary resistance but also maintain visual transparency and align with the building’s architectural design.
Stackdoor was selected for its ability to combine security with design flexibility.
Four bespoke Stackdoor security grilles were installed to protect key areas while preserving a sense of openness – even outside operating hours.
The grille system delivers proven resistance to forced entry without compromising the visual appeal of the spaces they protect. Installation was carried out by our partner GNS Brinkman, in close coordination with construction firm De Vries en Verburg B.V.
