The Max Verstappen store in Swalmen, Limburg, is both a shopping and a museum-like experience and attracts F1 and Max Verstappen fans from all around the country.
It features a wide selection of exclusive merchandise for sale, along with displays of memorabilia that symbolise the career of the Dutch racing driver. His own helmets, worn racing overalls and original trophies are on show, but by far the biggest eye-catcher is the Red Bull Racing RB12 Formula 1 car, with which Max won his first Grand Prix in Barcelona in 2016.
With such unique items on display, the store needed to ensure that the vast window areas were properly protected after the store was closed, but at the same time, give fans the opportunity to view these exclusive showcase pieces from the impressive career of the four-times world-champion.
Fans were already camping outside, waiting for the doors to open the day before the official opening!
The contractor contacted Stackdoor dealers, Solven, who recommended 4 large Standard products to suit the open and distinctive styling of the architecture. This allowed merchandise to still be viewed very clearly, but kept the store secure.
As the stacking grill has a minimal depth when open this ensured the Stackdoor was unobtrusive when the store was open. The compact stacking system could be hidden in the ceiling structure.
The self-locking feature also meant that closing the security grilles was extremely easy, without having to enter the retail display space to secure them as no auxiliary locks were necessary.
