Stackdoor RC3

Charter Global is delighted to announce that their innovative security grille, Stackdoor® has now achieved EN 1627 RC3 level accreditation – a significant security rating for a grille system that has up to 82% open area.

The Stackdoor® RC3 still benefits from the stack-and-pin technology, but has reinforced anti-cut bars to increase security and prevent attack by cutting tools up to, and including EN1627 RC3 level tools.

The Stack-and-pin technology is also enhanced with hardened anti-cut pins to resist cutting tools up to RC3 level.

In addition, Stackdoor RC3 has strengthened guide rails to prevent the grille being forced out of the side guides, again, giving a superior level of security.

Unlike standard security grilles, all Stackdoor products include a unique self-locking technology that automatically locks after the grille is closed, so there is no fear of forgetting to lock the grille and making it impossible to force it open by lifting.

Why traditional rolling grilles require more space

Traditional rolling grille systems rely on a large barrel, deep hood box, and oversized end plates, requiring significant space above the opening.

The blue overlay shows the depth and end plate size a conventional rolling grille would require for the same size opening, compared with the more compact Stackdoor® stacking system.

As a result, Stackdoor can be installed where available headroom is limited.

With slim profiles and a high-quality finish, the minimalist appearance of Stackdoor® blends with the essential elements of a luxury retail brand and the architectural styling of the grille can be tailor-made and colour matched, to look as sleek and stunning as the brand itself

Achieving EN 1627 RC3 certification makes the Stackdoor RC3 one of the most secure, open grille systems on the market.

STACKDOOR WITH ‘DOUBLE-STACK’ SYSTEM

In environments with limited space between the building structure and the suspended ceiling, a standard rolling grille is often not feasible because the rolling mechanism is too large for the ceiling void.

Where entrance height requires the Stackdoor stacking height to be reduced further, Stackdoor can still offer a solution.

In these cases, a ‘double-stack’ grille can be designed to achieve the minimum possible installation height while maintaining a shallower depth than an equivalent rolling system.
